The St. Petersburg Chamber’s Workforce & Talent Committee has been making great strides in strengthening our community’s talent pipeline. HIRE – The St. Pete Way has recently been refreshed with updated study results and a growing library of resources, making it an even stronger hub for workforce development in our region. At the same time, we are in active discussions with Bisk to launch the SkillSync platform, which will connect job seekers, employers, and education providers in a streamlined way to better match skills with opportunities. On August 20, the Committee hosted a successful meeting highlighting apprenticeship programs across a variety of industries, underscoring the important role these programs play in preparing a skilled workforce. In addition, Chamber representatives recently met with Congresswoman Kathy Castor and Senator Nick DiCeglie to explore opportunities to expand and secure apprenticeship funding at the federal and state levels, ensuring these pathways continue to grow.
