DESCRIPTION:The Sustainability & Resilience Committee continues advancing tools and practices that help St. Pete better withstand storms and climate-driven challenges. We recently launched a Storm Mitigation & Recovery Resources webpage\, complete with a procurement guide\, to support businesses and residents in preparing for\, responding to\, and recovering from severe weather events.  In parallel\, the Committee has been discussing a new Resilient Flood Mitigation Workforce Development proposal — a strategy aimed at building local capacity to address flood risk through trained workers and stronger public‐private partnerships. \nLooking ahead\, mark your calendars for “Get on the Bus: SunRunner Tour” on THIS FRIDAY\, September 19 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.
