SUMMARY:Downtown Waterfront Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Downtown Waterfront Committee has been active in advocating for thoughtful redevelopment along our waterfront. One of the recent major actions was sending a letter of support for a traffic study along key waterfront corridors\, including the Pier and the Center for the Arts area\, to better understand and address current congestion and pedestrian safety concerns. \n  \nIn July\, the Committee met with the Center for the Arts consultant\, ASD | Sky\, and other project stakeholders to discuss the proposed redevelopment plan. That plan envisions a reimagined arts district spanning from the Mahaffey Theater to the Dali Museum\, with features such as a new parking garage\, expanded green promenade\, enhanced public access\, and retail and arts space.
